London: Day Sixteen & Seventeen
As I already expected, the two days went quite easy. Apart from work and going to lunch, we were just hanging around Jose's home.
Well, on Tuesday I went to Oxford Street for the last time to visit Borders and the Virgin Megastore. At the Virgin Megastore I bought the 'Poloroid'-Single for Claudia and the 'Outkast'-Album for Jessica, and the 'Evanescene'-Album finally for me. I was thinking about buying the new Kill Bill Soundtrack as well. I already carried it around with me, but decided to first really listen into it before buying.
Then I went into Borders to look for the Vampire Books I was suggested (by Hamilton, Mathewson, Elrod, ...). But they didn't have any books of either author. Geez. Have to order at Amazon then.
The next day will be the last one here, and I'm leaving on thursday morning. Somehow I'm really looking forward to that; even though London was quite cool and extremely different than at home, I'm missing (especially) Emba and my friends...

Announcing Martin Roell's jobBlog
Martin Roell has [finally ;-)] managed to get his JobBlog online.
It's a blog about unemployed people he knows, and whom he trusts to be a good-working or professional one.
Personally, I think this is a very eager attempt to get his "blogosphere-fame" focussed and applied to helping people. If they are recommended by a known E-Business blogger, they can't be that bad at all, can they?
Of course, what is necessary for this ambitious attempt, is a well-selected sense of quality for the persons he suggests. I think this can only end up good, because I don't see a thing which is bad about all of this. It could be disregarded completely by the persons in higher positions, but then it doesn't do bad at all.
One drawback (as I see it) is, that you can put yourself into the blog without Martin knowing you: By paying for your 'advertisement'. That somehow spoils the whole intention of it, but I'll see as to how the relation from personal <-> commercial turns out, before I really complain about it.
But keep this one in mind. And even though this is a commercial-like use of a blog, it uses the social structure of the blogosphere in a social way. I'm curious about what others will say about the project. And I hope to get updated on the site if it works, after all. Good luck to all of you involved into the JobBlog.

Andy's recovered
Finally! Andy has recovered from the dark side of music and seems to finally be listening to *good music* again.
That's even worth a single blog entry.

Credit card signing in an artistic way
An article about How crazy would I have to make my signature before someone would actually notice?. The author complains about him signing credits card with any random signature without facing any problems.
Wicked thing. Those are the times where I feel lucky to not possess any credit card. A very funny article to read!

E-Plus offers GPRS-Flatrate for new PDA
Finally! Heise Mobile reports about a new PDA which will be offered for the german mobile-communications provider E-Plus.
This is the first step towards kicking UMTS out of business. A flatrate-GPRS service for usual cellphones would really kick ass, I would even seriously think about paying 20 Euro a month. Now their PDA isn't really what I'm needing and not looking that good:
I guess I'll have to wait for some serious PDA with all that funky gadgets from today and then be able to really surf wireless with my Notebook from all around. As long as WLAN isn't widespread (and cheap) in germany, that seems to be the only alternative.
I'm curious about what Andy will say about this, as we're both already E-Plus customers and using their GPRS-contract.
